After your order is placed, a serialized retaining kit is automatically shipped to the designated shipping address provided at checkout.

The retaining kit includes easy-to-follow instructions, a serialized tamper-evident container for securely preserving a portion of your loved one’s ashes, and pre-paid return postage.

Upon arrival at our facility, the ashes are carefully registered and undergo initial pre-filtration to remove larger fragments, non-organic debris, and non-uniform particles, ensuring only properly prepared remains move forward.

The pre-filtered ashes are then superheated using our specially designed graphite-based pyrolysis system, reaching just over 2,800°F in an oxygen-restricted, medically sterile chamber. This stage is a critical part of the chemistry behind Engrave Ink, using extreme controlled heat to sterilize, dry, thermally condition, and stabilize the ash for professional ink preparation.

After pyrolysis, the thermally refined ash is passed through our advanced proprietary three-stage filtration system, which includes two stages of pre-filtration and one stage microfiltration, to achieve a consistent particle size of 40μm (40 x 10⁻⁶). The result is a uniform, micronized ash ideally suited for dispersion into ink, supporting both consistency and safety in tattoo application.

Using lab-grade mechanical agitation, the thermally refined, micronized ash concentrate is then evenly infused into our premium black or white tattoo ink base. The process is serialized, tracked, and monitored at every stage over a four-week timeline with strict safety and quality protocols.
